VB Backup version 1.0 By: David M. Gentils / D & L Tech Services '95 Thank you for trying VB Backup! This is the Shareware version of the program VB Backup. For information about ordering the registered version, see the file ORDER.TXT. What is VB Backup? VB Backup is a utility for Backing Up Your Visual Basic projects. Useful in case of data loss you know you have a current backup to restore. Requirements: VB Backup requires Microsoft Windows 3.x to run. In addition, it requires VBRUN300.DLL. Because VB Backup was written for use with Visual Basic for Windows, VBRUN300.DLL is not included, as it comes with VB 3.0. If you do need this file, however, it should be available from wherever you downloaded VB Backup. Installation: Unzip the zipped file (VBBACKUP.ZIP) From Program Manager, select File-Run, choose install.exe (in whichever directory you unzipped the files into). The program should be fairly self explanatory. See the on-line help to answer any questions that you may have. Important: For VB Backup to work, your VB forms and modules must be saved in text format. Of course, most VB programmers recommend that you always "save as text" anyway. Notes: Any comments, criticisms, suggestions, or bug-reports, will be greatly appreciated. Include any comments when registering, or you can email me at the addresses given below. Enjoy trying VB Backup! As a Visual Basic programmer, I find it to be a rather useful utility, and I hope you will as well. Remember that if you wish to continue using it after the 30-day trial period, you must purchase the registered version (see ORDER.TXT). This will provide you with the registered version of VB Backup to get rid of the nag screen, Plus knowledge that you're helping support the idea of shareware and affordable software. David M.
